June 2004

NORA Mourns Passing of President Ronald Reagan:
NORA today expressed deep regret at the passing of one of history's greatest leaders and a friend to Armenians, President Ronald Reagan. President Reagan, who passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2004, will be remembered for his leadership in brining an end to the Iran hostage crisis and the instrumental hand he played in the peaceful dissolution of the Soviet Union. Among Armenian-Americans, President Reagan will be remembered for his principled stance on the Armenian Genocide.

January 2004

NORA Review of Bush Administration Accomplishments on Armenian Issues:
NORA review and highlights of the Bush administration actions regarding issues of special importance to Armenian Americans. This review does not cover areas that are not Armenian specific such as, for example, education, taxation, and social security which are already widely reported on in the press.

Republican Armenians Among Early Supporters of Bush-Cheney Reelection Campaign:
Republican Armenians contribute over $100,000 to Bush-Cheney reelection campaign in first two quarters of 2003 according to NORA estimates while specific Federal Election Commission figures show that individuals with distinctly Armenian names alone gave nearly $80,000.
